Johnny Stachela Band
Los Angeles native Johnny Stachela spends most of his time with a guitar in his hands. His emotionally charged playing style has caught the ears of many who admire his artistry. He has recorded with legendary Grammy Award winning producers Eddie Kramer (Jimi Hendrix, Led Zeppelin) and Gary Nicholson (Waylon Jennings, Delbert McClinton). He has also performed with such soulful artists as Billy Preston, Jonny Lang, Duane Betts (son of Dickey Betts) and Devon Allman (son of Gregg Allman).
Most recently, he recorded and toured with “Leroy Powell and the Messengers”. When Mr. Powell relocated to Nashville in 2008, Johnny stayed in Los Angeles and formed his own band. The JSB is rooted in timeless Blues/Rock music that showcases his depth of songwriting and incendiary guitar playing. The core band includes Jason Benfield on bass, Vincent Fossett Jr. on drums, and features Jessica Payo on vocals.
The Johnny Stachela Band debuted two singles, “Love Is A Killer” and “Love Salesman” in Spring 2011. Their next release “Shine A Light” is set for release this summer.
